For the third Christmas in a row, we surprised our family by building a custom tabletop board game from scratch 🎄🎲

This year’s game is a winter-themed, zone-control board game, and we didn’t just design the rules—we made everything ourselves:

🧩 Handcrafted physical board

🖨️ Custom 3D-printed and hand-painted player minis

📱 An integrated companion app

🔌 Electronics powered by a Raspberry Pi and RFID readers

We revealed the game on Christmas Day, and the kids immediately jumped into a full tournament, putting our creation to the ultimate test.

This project combines DIY, game design, 3D printing, electronics, and a lot of holiday love—and seeing our family play it made it all worth it.
